What is yoga anyway??

 

Good question!

 

Yoga is neither stretching nor exercise. However, stretching and exercising can be yoga.

 

Yoga is a mindset for me. As a yoga practitioner, I try to use the "tools" of yoga techniques to create the best in myself and ultimately to bring my best into the world.

 

Through the asana practice (yoga poses) one can develop various skills and abilities, from patience to self-love and acceptance. Since it is much easier to bring your best into the world when you are comfortable, physical practice is also very helpful. Through a balanced practice with stretching and strength exercises, combined with breath and being, the body and also the mind come into a state of balance and calm. For yogis, all of this is taken for granted.
